Dan Kramer

Executive Vice President, Government and Community Affairs

Dan directs and oversees all aspects of SHAZAM’s government relations activities at the local, state and federal levels. He oversees community affairs with government agencies, nonprofit organizations and private companies to nurture the relationships necessary for enterprise growth and success.

Dan has an extensive 24-year background in merchant portfolio management, electronic funds transfer (EFT) sales and EFT marketing. He joined SHAZAM in 1999 as a merchant product manager and became the senior vice president of merchant services in 2001. From 2001 to 2006, Dan focused his efforts on strengthening and expanding SHAZAM’s acquiring business. He transitioned to senior vice president of marketing and merchant services in 2006 and then moved to his current role of senior vice president of government and community affairs in 2016.

In 2007, Dan joined the board of directors for the Iowa Grocery Industry Association (IGIA). He has served as chairman of the IGIA, president of Prevent Child Abuse Iowa and currently serves on the boards of Iowa and Missouri Grocers Association and the YMCA of Greater Des Moines.
