DES MOINES, Iowa (Mar. 5, 2020) — SHAZAM, Inc., a leading national provider of financial services to community financial institutions, announces its endorsement by the Nebraska Independent Community Bankers (NICB).

“Earning the endorsement of community bankers in our neighboring state is a validation of SHAZAM’s commitment to keeping community banks across the country strong and competitive,” said Paul Waltz, SHAZAM president and CEO. “NICB members are the real economic engines of their communities, and we look forward to bringing our affordable and reliable payments solutions to more NICB members.”

NICB represents 71 community banks with approximately 375 banking offices. NICB members employ approximately 8,000 individuals and have collective assets of over $40 billion.
“SHAZAM’s member-owned structure means Nebraska’s community banks have a true payments partner,” said Eric Hallman, CEO, NICB. “SHAZAM’s a nonprofit which means when Nebraska’s community bankers partner with SHAZAM for payments solutions, SHAZAM is reinvesting back into more technologies to support NICB’s mission rather than being concerned with shareholder returns.”
