SHAZAM and NCMIC Finance Corporation announce merchant services transition to enhance client experience

Effective April 4, 2025, NCMIC Finance Corporation, a Des Moines-based company with nearly 25 years of payment processing experience, has acquired SHAZAM’s merchant services business. This transition marks a strategic collaboration between two industry leaders with Iowa roots and values, ensuring continued excellence in payment processing for both NCMIC and SHAZAM clients.

NCMIC’s Professional Solutions Financial Services division has officially assumed responsibility for SHAZAM’s merchant services portfolio, including financial institution clients. This transition was carefully planned in partnership with SHAZAM to ensure seamless continuity for merchants, financial institutions, and merchant processing team members.

What this means for clients

For SHAZAM clients:
  • Merchant services will now be managed by NCMIC's Professional Solutions' brand, ensuring continued high-quality service and support. 
  • A seamless transition plan has been implemented to minimize disruption and maintain current service experience.
For Professional Solutions customers:
  • The addition of SHAZAM's merchant services portfolio enhances Professional Solutions' ability to offer best-in-class payment processing solutions.
