Tips for Submitting Travel Notices
In the past, travel notices were submitted by fax and email, but today, you can submit a travel notice online, see results and view confirmation instantly.
If you need to submit travel notices, you can add them to cardholder records in SHAZAM Access on the Cards tab with the role of EditTravelNotice, which is a SHAZAM Access maintenance role. Below are some additional guidelines and tips.
What you can do:
- View, create, edit and cancel travel notices in the Cards tab of SHAZAM Access and approve and decline travel notices in the BINs tab.
- You can enter the following optional trip information:
- A trip name to identify the trip (for example, “Paris trip”).
- Update the phone number at which the cardholder can be reached during the trip.
- Add an email address where the cardholder can be contacted. If you enter an email address, the cardholder will receive a notification email when you submit the travel notice.
- Change travel data
- Add a real-time exclusion.
What you can’t do:
- Set more than one travel notice at a time.
- Use the same start and end date for a travel notice. \
- Add or update a travel notice on a hot or expired card.
- Send a travel notice to SHAZAM via email or fax.
Travel Notices provide cardholders with additional peace of mind and security while traveling and reduces the likelihood of their card being blocked or denied while traveling, which is a win-win situation for both you, the cardholder, and SHAZAM.
