Reflecting on the 2024 SHAZAM Forum
Article contributor: Mary Beth Willis / Client Learning Consultant
Looking back on the recent SHAZAM® Forum, which took place in Des Moines, IA, April 9 – 11, the client learning team appreciates the time they spent connecting with clients.
Andrea Cook, Client Learning Manager, shared, “I had the privilege of sending four of our client learning trainers to staff our booth in the exhibit hall. We featured a scrolling presentation, which introduced each learning team member, so clients could match a name to a face — even if that face was back at the office.
We shared information on upcoming webinars, Reg E workshop offerings and our new fraud education series, ‘Just In Time .’ Additionally, 39 clients signed up for our giveaway to win one of the four free webinar seats of their choice in the upcoming year.
Preparation for the client learning team’s Forum booth started several weeks before the event, and Mary Beth Willis did a wonderful job leading the charge!”
Duane Betz, Client Learning Consultant, said one of his favorite parts of Forum was “connecting with the clients we work with and getting to see them in person.”
Dan Ferrel, Client Learning Consultant II, echoed Duane’s comments and also appreciated the opportunity to interact with SHAZAM employees he doesn’t see regularly.
Diana Kern, Client Learning Strategist, enjoyed “connecting one-on-one with clients to learn what’s going on in their world every day.” She said, “I can explain EFT training topics in a more meaningful way when I understand a client’s operations environment.”
Diana had a busy few days at Forum. In addition to working at the booth, she delivered two breakout sessions and held a general session on fraud.
From our perspective, all the speakers were excellent! They hosted a variety of breakout sessions on topics that directly affect financial institutions and general sessions on truly relevant and relatable topics.
