Improve Efficiency with APIs and Integrations

At SHAZAM, we believe in the power of choice and flexibility. We also understand that our clients have contracts with multiple vendors for a variety of services which require functional solutions that sync across all vendors.

APIs, or application programming interfaces, are powerful tools for increasing productivity. APIs enable separate software systems to communicate with one another, share data, streamline processes and save time and money. That’s why we’ve made APIs and integrated product offerings available, allowing our clients to choose the best solution without paying exorbitant fees for proprietary, packaged products that other providers may offer.

One excellent example is the ability to synchronize your core's card or account updates with your debit card processing provider. Account information such as balances or cardholder information including cardholder address or zip code may get out of sync between the two providers if your core vendor and debit card processing vendor don’t have a tight integration. This could lead to a frustrating experience for the cardholder and inefficiencies for your staff as they maintain two systems through either a slower batch-based process or manual data entry into respective web portals. Using APIs, your core provider will be able to connect to your debit card processing provider's various systems and automate processes such as balance synching and maintenance.

More Integration Use Cases

As you may be aware, we will be hosting our premier annual client event, the 2023 SHAZAM Forum, in Des Moines, Iowa, on April 4-6, 2023. "Enhance, Empower, Engage" is the theme of this year's event. If you or another representative from your financial institution is joining us, please visit our booths and attend the "Improving efficiency with APIs and Integrations" breakout session.

During this breakout session, we will review several use cases where secure and powerful integrations could benefit your financial institution. In addition to these use cases, you will have the opportunity to interact with SHAZAM's product and integration teams, as well as other financial institutions that have already begun using our API-powered solutions.
