What is the Core User Group event all about?

This year, SHAZAM Core and Nicola Core are teaming up for a joint event featuring general sessions and two breakout tracks. SHAZAM staff will lead discussions on product updates, rollouts, and answer your questions.

What’s the dress code?

Business casual. We recommend dressing in layers, as room temperatures may vary.

Will we have name badges?

Yes! Every attendee will be provided with a name badge and a solid-colored lanyard when they check in at the registration table. Please wear your name badge throughout the event.

First-time attendees will be given a “First Timer” button — be sure to welcome them! SHAZAM staff will be identifiable by their branded SHAZAM lanyards.

Where can I find the meeting schedule?

You can view the daily agenda here. Additionally, signage with QR codes will be available throughout the venue to help you navigate breakout spaces.

Will there be separate SHAZAM Core and Nicola Core tracks?

General sessions are designed for users of both cores, but there will be some core-specific programming. For breakout sessions, Nicola Core attendees should first attend the Nicola-specific breakout session but can choose other sessions after that.

How will I be able to provide feedback?

After each session, we’ll ask for your feedback via a short survey and then we’ll email you a post-event survey — your input helps us improve every year!

Will there be time to visit exhibitors?

Absolutely! Dedicated exhibitor time is built into the meeting schedule. Each exhibitor will have a QR code you can scan to express interest in their products and earn additional entries into our end-of-meeting prize drawing. Exhibitors are listed here.

Interested in becoming a Core Officer?

We’re holding an election for a new SHAZAM Core Secretary/Treasurer. Ballots will be available at the Opening Reception and the registration table and voting will take place on Wednesday.

Officers serve a three-year term and are expected to:

  • Attend the Core User Group annually •
  • Assist with agenda planning and event coordination
  • Provide feedback to enhance future events
