Hello <name of supervisor>,

I would like to attend the 2017 SHAZAM Forum in Des Moines, Iowa, on April 11 – 13.

The SHAZAM Forum is the premier annual event for community financial institutions and the 2017 theme is Power Your Potential. This year's agenda focuses on cybersecurity, the challenges of a device‑driven future and producing quality sales / customer service — all topics that are very applicable to our business challenges. Here are seven reasons why I should attend the 2017 SHAZAM Forum:

  1. The SHAZAM Forum is uniquely relevant
The event features many educational sessions and motivational workshops that will greatly benefit my work. For example: The motivational talk, "How 'SMART' are Your Emotions?," will help me understand the value of emotional intelligence, connect with my co‑workers and make smarter business decisions.
  2. The session lineup is packed with all-star speakers
SHAZAM has curated the brightest minds on topics ranging from cybersecurity and the Internet of Things (IoT) to personal growth and development. The first keynote speaker is Theresa Payton, former CIO of the White House and cybersecurity authority. Her session will cover why the financial services industry's investment in cybersecurity hasn't eliminated attacks and breaches. She'll also share her insight and strategies to manage emerging fraud trends. If you'd like to check out the full agenda and sessions, visit shazam.net/forum.
  3. I'll learn more about SHAZAM products and services
During this event, I'll learn more about the services we currently have with SHAZAM. I'll also learn more about additional products that'll help us retain current cardholders, attract new customers and power our fraud‑mitigation potential! Additionally, I plan to visit three key exhibit booths at the event to assist me with <insert your own job‑related needs>.
  4. I'll rub shoulders with industry peers
The 2017 SHAZAM Forum has many different networking opportunities, including a peer‑to‑peer networking session where I can talk to other organizations of a similar size. I'll be able to discuss innovative ideas, share business success stories, connect on challenges we're facing and learn how they're combating crime in their communities.
  5. The SHAZAM Forum isn't a boring tradeshow or conference
Unlike many other events, the SHAZAM Forum isn't a waste of time. I'll be learning a lot of valuable information and enjoying myself at the welcome event and casino night. Year‑over‑year attendees continue to participate with the event app and ask pertinent questions — from the first session through the very last session. I'll come back refreshed and poised to help our organization tackle new challenges.
  6. The event keeps growing every year; our institution should be represented
Each year the SHAZAM Forum breaks its attendee record. In 2016, 342 people attended from 147 organizations, representing states all over the country. Other community financial institutions are learning about the SHAZAM Forum and sending employees from their organization; we should too!
  7. We could win a $1,000 charitable contribution
By visiting SHAZAM exhibitor booths (and learning how to ramp up the services we're offering to cardholders), I'll be entered to win a $1,000 donation to any community charity of our choice — in our name. Our community would definitely benefit from this donation! Plus, I'll come back with exclusive SHAZAM Forum discounts and promotions.

I'm confident you'll see this as a worthwhile investment. It's an opportunity for me to network with other community financial institutions, hear fresh ideas and grow my knowledge around our profession. My attendance at this conference is a wise investment and will pay off all year long. Please respond with your approval ASAP — seats are filling up fast! My registration fee is only $300, and if you decide to attend yourself or send another employee, he or she can attend for only $200.

Sincerely,

<Sign your name here>

Hear it straight from the experts at the SHAZAM Forum

February 20, 2017

New this year! We'll be hosting a regulatory and compliance panel after our keynote presentation from Theresa Payton (former White House CIO and cybersecurity authority). This is a great opportunity to get in front of, and ask questions, to federal regulators — who aren't regulating you!

Our panel of experts include A.J. Steiger Jr., Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC), Mike Cavanaugh, lead Community, Regional and Specialty Bank (CRSB) examiner from the Federal Reserve Board (FRB) and Brad Hart, bank examiner from the Iowa Division of Banking.

During this session, panelists will discuss regulatory hot topics and explain what you need to be doing, to not only remain compliant, but to protect your most sensitive assets. We guarantee you'll leave with great information to think about and implement in your own organization.

By attending the SHAZAM Forum you'll also hear from industry and SHAZAM experts on topics ranging from powering your fraud mitigation potential to prepping your staff for an active shooter or robbery situation. If you haven't already registered, do so today! Space is filing out fast — this might be our first sellout year! Click here to register yourself and a co–worker for this great event.
