Cardholders' demands for payment solutions are ever changing. SHAZAM recognizes the increasing shift to digital commerce and can help satisfy your cardholders' needs with many digital payment options.

Digital wallets

A digital wallet is an application on an electronic device that allows you to make secure payments. Digital wallets let users complete purchases easily and quickly online, in apps and in stores.

Android Pay

Pay with your Android phone in stores and online with Android Pay. Android Pay uses near field communication (NFC) to transmit payment information between your phone and payment terminals at supporting stores. Just add your debit card to Android Pay for a simpler checkout process. There's no need to enter your card details every time; just choose Android Pay, make sure the phone is unlocked and hold it near the terminal at checkout — the app doesn't even need to be open!

Apple Pay

Apple Pay® is a mobile payment and digital wallet service that lets you make payments using qualifying Apple® products (iPhone®, iPad®, Apple Watch®, etc.). Apple Pay allows users to make secure purchases in stores, in apps and online. Currently, Apple Pay is the only digital wallet using a secure element (SE) for tokenization storage, which is a chip embedded directly into the phone's hardware. Users can securely pay through NFC or within apps. In‑app transactions require only a user's approval via Touch ID®, greatly simplifying the typical online purchase experience.

Microsoft Wallet

Microsoft® Wallet lets users make payments and store cards on qualifying Microsoft mobile devices. With Microsoft Wallet, you get convenience without the card. Simply tap your phone on a contactless payment terminal and your default card is charged. Microsoft Wallet uses host card emulation (HCE) for making in‑store payments. This, plus the device PIN used to unlock the phone, makes paying with Microsoft Wallet a very secure way to pay.

Samsung Pay

Samsung Pay® is a mobile payment and digital wallet service offered by Samsung. Samsung Pay uses NFC and magnetic secure transmission (MST) for payments. MST is a huge convenience for cardholders. It works by sending a magnetic signal from a compatible device to the payment terminal’s card reader (to imitate swiping a physical payment card). MST payments don't require the merchant to upgrade the payment terminal, making Samsung Pay available for use at nearly all payment terminals with a card reader.

Masterpass

Masterpass is a digital wallet from Mastercard® that simplifies the checkout process with one secure account. It works across multiple channels and on any device. Masterpass stores cards and shipping information so cardholders can shop from one account. Cardholders simply register on masterpass.com or through their financial institution and load their Mastercard debit card information.

Digitized e-commerce payments

Digitized card credentials are stored on an online merchant platform where cardholders can make secure purchases and recurring payments.

Card on file

Card on file (COF) allows card information to be securely stored in a merchant's system for billing or purchases. A COF transaction is conducted without the cardholder present and without any cardholder validation, similar to a recurring payment. This is a seamless and convenient experience for cardholders with the added security of a tokenized PAN.

Visa® Checkout

Visa Checkout® makes paying online easy and convenient for your cardholders because it works with all major debit cards and across all devices. Cardholders can easily register through the Visa Checkout website and upload multiple cards, selecting one to make a payment. The simple and secure sign-up allows your cardholders to check out fast with a username and password — from cart to complete in as few as three clicks.
